Hi.
During the last 18 months we have been putting this show together and in the true sense of altruism the only way it can work is when you arrive at the door.
The band, who by the way, to whom I am extremely grateful, want you to let your hair down, join us on stage or just watch and take it all in, the choice is yours.
I first became a Rod Stewart fan in 1971 as a small boy when my dad enrolled me in music classes. At the time my teacher Derek Colly played the class the album Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd on what was then the gramophone (seems so dated) and told us how great it was. He then played "Maggie May" informed us that this was not the way to create a classic (we know the rest) staring around the class he then said "does anyone want to hear this again". My class mates declined but I had to hear it. I shot my hand up "I would sir" I said, he sighed, gave me that losers look, did as I asked, and from that day to this boy was I hooked. Shortly after my birthday came around the gift of choice was Every Picture Tells a Story, a five quid (Pound Sterling) fidelity record player, away I went. Boy those were the days.
A friend I think cracked the secret for me, one day when talking about our Rod he said "you know Rods voice has always seemed vulnerable to me and just when you think its out there! man he floors ya with the impossible" to tell ya the truth I personally had never thought about it in thirty something years but as I try to put pen to paper (or should I say fight with my computer) it is one of the main things that comes to mind.
If you would like any information about the band visit our web pages they are full of interesting insights
During my musical career I have had many highlights and the moment I hit the stage on any given night my intention is to try to knock the house down.
